Day 1: Tangier ⟶Rif Mountains ⟶Chefchaouen ⟶Spanish Mosque

We depart Tangier in the morning. Our route heads into the lush Rif Mountains. The scenic drive offers breathtaking green vistas. Upon reaching Chefchaouen, you’ll have the afternoon free. Lose yourself in its famous blue‑washed medina.

Every alley reveals new shades of cerulean and indigo. The atmosphere is peaceful and laid‑back. Later, hike to the Spanish Mosque at sunset. The trail climbs gently up the hillside. Day 2: Chefchaouen ⟶Volubilis ⟶Meknes ⟶Fes

We depart Chefchaouen after breakfast. Our first stop is the Roman ruins of Volubilis. Explore the preserved mosaics there. They depict gods, sea creatures, and daily life. These artworks have survived for nearly 2,000 years. Then continue to the imperial capital of Meknes. Admire the massive Bab Mansour gate. This is the finest example of Alaouite architecture.

Day 3: Fes Full Day

Day 4: Fes ⟶Ifrane ⟶ Ziz Valley ⟶Merzouga

Spot wild Barbary macaques there. They play among the ancient trees. Descend into the Ziz Valley’s lush palm groves. The dramatic gorges are breathtaking.

The contrast with the arid landscape is striking. Arrive in Merzouga by late afternoon. Embark on a sunset camel trek into the Erg Chebbi dunes. The shifting sands glow in warm orange light. Day 5: Merzouga ⟶ Rissani ⟶ Todgha Gorge ⟶Dades Valley

Wake up for a desert sunrise. The first light paints the dunes in soft pink and gold. After breakfast, we head toward Rissani. This town was the birthplace of the Alaouite dynasty. Its traditional market is lively and colourful. Then we continue to the stunning Todgha Gorge. Walk along the riverbed there. Massive 300‑metre limestone cliffs tower overhead.

The canyon offers cool shade and peaceful quiet. Meanwhile, rock climbers scale the vertical faces. We finish the day in the Dades Valley. Enjoy dinner at a cliffside hotel. Day 6: Dades Valley ⟶ Ouarzazate – Aït Benhaddou ⟶Tizi n’Tichka ⟶Marrakech

Drive through the fragrant Valley of Roses today. Local cooperatives produce essential oils there. The aroma is captivating. Then we visit the palm oasis of Skoura. This vast green expanse is a paradise. Explore Ouarzazate’s Atlas Film Studios.

Epic movies like Gladiator were filmed there. Subsequently, we explore the UNESCO‑listed Aït Benhaddou. This fortified village has starred in countless films. We cross the river on foot and explore its alleyways. We climb to the top for sweeping views. The journey concludes as we cross the majestic High Atlas Mountains.

Our route follows the winding Tizi n’Tichka Pass. At 2,260 metres, the views are spectacular. We stop for photos at the summit. Thereafter, we descend into the fertile plains.
